This web site is dedicated to Highland Cattle often referred to as Scottish Highland Cattle.  It features interesting historical articles as well as more recent articles, breed standards, and a photo gallery.

History

Highland cattle are an ancient breed, surviving unchanged for centuries in the highlands and islands of Scotland.
This says much of their ability to survive in adversity.

Standards

The Highland Cattle Society of Scotland was founded in 1884. They published a Breed Standard in the first Herd Book in 1885. Other standards have also been published.
